What is the Osa Biodiversity Survey?
Like the ABS, the Osa Biodiversity Survey (OBS) is a community of naturalists cataloguing the biodiversity of southern Costa Rica. This survey runs throughout the Osa Peninsula, a global biodiversity hotspot. Take your observations beyond Amistosa and join the OBS today!
The Amistosa region is a high elevation forest area encompassing a variety of protected and non-protected areas, including Indigenous Reserves, Biological Corridors, National Parks and Wildlife Refuges. Filter by area on the map below to see the most observed species for each location.
A shortlist of key conservation species to help assess ecosystem health in La Amistad International Park and the Amistosa Corridors. View the key species we are monitoring and find out who has the most observations.
